Samsung And Klipsch Integrate For Home Theatre-In-A-Box Series

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and Klipsch Audio Technologies have joined forces to introduce new DVD home theatre-in-a-box (HTiB) systems, the HT-SK5 and the HT-SK6. The HT-SK5 features Samsung's DVD technology via a five-disc DVD progressive scan player with a built-in multichannel amplifier boasting 500 watts of total audio power. It also includes a set of Klipsch satellite speakers. The system is offered in a titanium finish and compact design. The HT-SK6 features a Samsung single-disc DVD progressive scan player with a built-in multichannel amplifier boasting 725 watts of total audio power, and Klipsch's Quintet Microsystem. It is offered in a silver-finished, compact design. The HT-SK5's five-disc DVD changer and the HT-SK6's single-disc player are both capable of DVD, CD, VCD, MP3, and CD-R/CD-RW playback. Both features DolbyÆ Digital, Dolby Pro LogicÆ II, and DTSÆ decoding, and digital AM/FM tuners offering 30 FM presets. The HT-SK5's built-in amplifier provides 80 watts of power per channel, and a passive subwoofer. The amplifier of the HT-SK6 provides 100 watts of power per channel.
