Samsung Announces Portable DVD Player With 12-Inch LCD Screen

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. has introduced the DVD-L1200, featuring a 12-inch TFT-LCD. The DVD-L1200 features a one-touch screen inverter for ceiling mounting. Claude Frank, Samsung Electronics America's Director for Digital Audio/Video, said, ""The DVD-L1200 reaches a new milestone for the category and provides the perfect solution to DVD entertainment on the road. It is unobtrusive when closed; yet its 12-inch, 16:9 screen and 160-degree viewing angle provide quality DVD viewing for more than one. The DVD-L1200 places Samsung a step ahead of competitive models in terms of portable movie viewing and consumer enjoyment.""The DVD-L1200 includes A/V inputs and outputs, including S-video connection. A credit card-sized remote control is included.
