Samsung Introduces New Integrated DynaFlat HDTV

29-Sep-03

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. showed their latest in fully integrated HDTVs, the 30-inch widescreen TSN3084WHD, at the 2003 CEDIA EXPO. The TSN3084WHD is one in a series of new integrated HDTV widescreen televisions that Samsung has introduced. The TSN3084WHD features a built-in ATSC over-the-air HD signal receiver and QAM capability to accept unencrypted HD signals from a digital cable connection. ""Since we introduced the first integrated HDTV, Samsung has worked hard to demonstrate to consumers that digital television is available now. That is one of Samsung's key messages this year,"" said John Lavoie, Marketing Manager for Samsung Electronic America's Visual Display Products Group. ""There's no better way to reinforce that message than with the introduction of our first direct-view TV that offers HD reception capability and Samsung's high-quality video performance in one simple-to-use package."" The TSN3084WHD incorporates Samsung's on-screen program guide, claimed to be the fastest in the industry. It features Light Touchô front-panel control key buttons which are backlit via a soft-touch membrane, and uses Samsung's DynaFlat HD picture tube technology. A DVI input and two HD component inputs are also included. The 30-inch DynaFlat TXN3084WHD (MSRP $1399.99) will be available October 2003.
