JVC Introduces New DVD-Audio/Video Player

JVC now offers the XV-NA70BK/NA77SL, a slim DVD player that offers playback of DVD-Audio in addition to DVD-Video. The player includes built-in DolbyÆ Digital and DTSÆ decoding. The new player is available in black as the XV-NA70BK or silver as the XV-NA77SL. It can read WMA, MP3 and JPEG files from a disc. It is also compatible with DVD-R, DVD+/-RW, and SVCD/VCD. In addition to built-in Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, it offers digital audio outputs, plus a DTS two-channel downmix output.The player features a 108 MHz/12-bit video D/A converter. In addition there's the Video Fine Processor (VFP) with seven adjustable parameters, allowing for fine tuning of the image. Other features include a high-resolution on-screen graphical user interface (GUI) that allows for Windows-like point-and-click operation, gold-plated connections, 1.5x playback with audio, and Screen Fill, which zooms in on a DVD image to eliminate letterbox bars on the TV screen.
