ZEKTOR Introduces The HDS4.2 A/V Switcher

ZEKTOR, LLC announced the HDS4.2 high-definition audio and video switcher, a higher-end version of their HDS4. The HDS4.2 provides four inputs for component video, analog, and digital audio. Now featuring a second component video output, the HDS4.2 also adds some new styling, with a machined front panel and buttons as found on the recently introduced MAS3 multichannel audio switcher.""Many home theatres are starting to incorporate both a large screen for movies and a smaller display for everyday viewing, both of which require an HD component video signal,"" states Bill Paul, co-founder of ZEKTOR, LLC., ""And now we can provide a high-quality second output without the need for an external distribution amplifier.""The HDS4.2 is using the passive switch design from the HDS4, and adds a buffered output capable of driving long cable runs for large home theatres. Also available in the new model is ZEKTORís Z-Slot, which allows for an optional RS-232 module today, and other communication options in the future.""Both the HDS4 and the new HDS4.2 will be offered for the indefinite future, as they serve different types of customers.
