Discovery HD Theater And Circuit City Unite To Further Consumer Awareness Of HDTV

To help promote and demystify high-definition television to consumers and increase customer satisfaction, Discovery HD Theaterô and Circuit City Stores, Inc. announced a cross-promotional agreement that brings Discovery HD Theater into more than 600 Circuit City stores nationwide and includes advertising for Circuit City on Discovery HD Theater, as well as the Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel and BBC AMERICA. As part of the one-year agreement, Circuit City receives tag inclusion in Discovery HD Theater promotional spots. Circuit City's logo will appear in episodes of Discovery Networks feature HD programming including Travel Channel's ""The Once And Future City,"" TLC's ""Trading Spaces,"" Animal Planet's ""The Jeff Corwin Experience,"" and the Discovery Channel's new series, ""Rally Round The House,"" to name a few. Other benefits to Circuit City include retail promotion in Discovery Channel Stores across the country, in which Circuit City will receive exposure as a sponsor of Discovery HD Theater. Discovery HD Theater will receive floor space in more than 600 Circuit City stores nationwide with a Discovery HD Theater promotional display that includes branded signage and a Discovery HD Theater video feed. In addition, Discovery HD Theater will receive inclusion Circuit City's newspaper inserts. The agreement also provides both Discovery HD Theater and Circuit City brand inclusion in the HD ""Frequently Asked Questions"" section on www.discovery.com and in the ""Learn About"" HDTV receivers section on www.circuitcity.com.
