RBH Introduces New Dual 10-Inch Subwoofer For Compact Theater System

15-Jan-04

RBH Sound Inc. introduces the MS-10.1 subwoofer featuring dual 10-inch drivers and RBHís proprietary Tuned Aperiodic Vent (TAV). This new sub was designed to compliment RBHís existing Compact Theater 5.1 and 7.1 speaker ensembles, but is available separately for the consumer simply looking for a powerful, yet affordable subwoofer. First developed for the 1212-SE subwoofer, RBHís TAV technology bridges the gap between vented and sealed enclosure subwoofer designs providing deeper low frequency extension than similar sized, sealed designs. TAV technology shifts the vent tuning to a much lower frequency than would otherwise be possible in a small-vented enclosure and also improves transient response. Another ìtrickle-downî technology that made its way into the MS-10.1 is the use of proprietary aluminum drivers featured in the MS-10.1. The rigidity of the aluminum allows for extreme power handling and control over bass notes. Powering the MS-10.1 is an internal 250-watt amplifier that can push the dual 10ís down to 22 Hz. Other features include volume control, adjustable low-pass filter, line-level input, and output as well as speaker-level inputs and outputs with a fixed 80 Hz low pass filter. The MS-10.1 also features an auto-sensing circuit that will turn the subwoofer on when it senses an audio signal, and off after 15-20 minutes of inactivity. Suggested retail pricing of the MS-10.1 is $800 and it is shipping now. For more information, please visit www.rbh.com.
