Silverline and Cooking Vinyl Records have entered into a long-term licensing deal for the worldwide distribution of Cooking Vinylís catalog, it was announced today by John Trickett, Chairman of 5.1 Entertainment Group and Martin Goldschmidt, President of Cooking Vinyl. Under the terms of the agreement, Silverline Records will release an initial 20 DVD-Audio albums worldwide during the second and third quarters of 2004 from artists such as Billy Bragg, Richard Thompson, Cowboy Junkies, and Bruce Cockburn among others. Silverline Records and Cooking Vinyl will work closely with the artists, who will be involved in every step during the creation process of the DVD-Audio albums and will have approval of the 5.1 surround mixes. ìSilverline is proud to form this partnership with Cooking Vinyl. To date, there are over 160 DVD-Audio player models available from 35 manufacturers.
