4-Feb-04

The DualView XL is the second new display processor in RGB Spectrum's latest generation of windowing systems. The DualView XL is designed for applications calling for the display of two images on a single screen, such as training facilities, boardrooms, video teleconferencing, debriefing rooms, and home theater. It is particularly well suited for plasma and LCD displays. The DualView XL offers the impressive new features available in the QuadView XL, with powerful image processing and outstanding image quality, new web based control, dynamic window sizing, borders and titling, fade effects, smooth zoom/pans, and much more. The processor accepts up to eight sources, of which two can be displayed simultaneously, two computers, a computer and a video, or two videos. It supports high resolution RGB, HDTV 1080i/720p, S-video, component, composite video, and optional DVI inputs. DualView XL inputs can be independently sized and positioned anywhere on the screen, as well as panned and zoomed to emphasize particular areas of interest. Display alternatives are virtually infinite, and include side-by-side split screen, picture-in-picture, overlapping windows, and full screen display of any input. The DualView XL's high performance image processing with instantaneous display window resizing and positioning and smooth zooms and pans. Display configuration changes are executed immediately. Set up and operation are fast and easy using the new internet-based Web Control Panel (WCP) software or command line controls from either Ethernet or serial port connection. The DualView XL Web Control Panel (WCP) software offers fast, easy operation with button controls for PIP, side-by-side display, sizing and moving windows, zoom, pan, and more. The DualView XL processor is filled with new display capabilities including fades, custom borders, window titling, freeze, and user selectable colored and shaded backgrounds. Its user-selectable output settings, up to 1600 x 1200 resolution in both RGB and DVI format, in 1.78:1 or 1.33:1 aspect ratios, ensure a match with any display. With DVI inputs and outputs, a completely digital signal path is provided from source to display for optimal image quality. For added convenience, dual outputs in both RGB and DVI allow feeding two separate displays. For more information, please visit www.rgb.com.
