When Platine was designed it was intended to appear futuristic yet have the essence of a price less classic car. This is the image that it has carried since being released to the public and continues to maintain its rarity and popularity. For 2004, Earthquake introduces the Platine Noiree. The Platine Noiree consists of two tower loudspeakers PN4521, two dipole surround loudspeakers PN-2421, two monitor loudspeakers PN-1411 and a center channel PN-4421. The towers and Center channel include patented technology SLAPS (Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System) which helps to reproduce the most clean cut bass notes in an a tight space. All pieces are magnetically shielded and consist of 1-inch high definition silk dome tweeters, aluminum cone 4-inch high-power midrange, aluminum cone 4-inch high powered woofers, elaborate 24dB/Octave filters and a lavish multi-layer lacquer with clear coat (1/8-inch thick).
