BenQ introduced two new LCD monitors that feature 12ms response time and new looks, adding to the company's current extensive line of display products. The BenQ FP767-12 and FP783 17-inch LCD monitors are the latest entries to the monitor line. The FP767-12 and FP783 possess 12 millisecond (ms) response time. An LCD's response time is becoming an important element in technology features and needs to be lower than 17ms to enjoy smoother transitions without still image retention or delays in motion. Response time is the screen's signal reaction speed which is the time required for the screen to turn from completely white to completely black and vice versa. A television displays 30 images per second (or 33ms), a 25ms LCD equals 40 images per second, while a 12ms LCD is equivalent to 83 images per second.ìThese two LCD monitors represent the simplicity in aesthetics combined with powerful features that sets BenQ monitors apart in the market,î said Thomas Han, Vice President of Display at BenQ America. ìFrom their new unique looks and design, including slim bezels and two-tone colors, to the digital inputs and faster response time, these BenQ LCD monitors represent the future of LCD monitorsÖa fitting tone for today's style-conscious consumer.îFP767-12The new FP767-12 is a revamped version of BenQ's popular FP767 17-inch LCD monitor.
