Algolith Introduces The Mosquito 3D MPEG Noise Reducer

Mosquito is a dual input three-dimensional digital noise reduction processor, ideal for use with DVDís and digital signals in general. Mosquito reduces compression noise artifacts known as ìmosquito noiseî, and reduces bad reception and low light noises. Mosquito reduces block artifacts associated with fast moving images. Mosquito cleans up and sharpens compressed MPEG images from Satellite TV, Digital Cable, DVDs, and digital recordings (DVD-R and PVR).Mosquito performs four distinct image noise reducing techniques. First, ìmosquito noiseî is removed, using Algolith's proprietary pixelbased algorithm. Second, Block Artifact Reduction (BAR) blends and diminishes inherent 8 x 8 pixel block structures of MPEG images. Third, Algolithís advanced motion adaptive temporal filtering eliminates ìbad reception and low lightî noises.
