Gefen Delivers HDTV Extension Solutions For Customized High-Definition Systems

HDTV Transmits Long-Distance With HDMI And DVI Cables Plus Extension Systems From Gefen

Connectivity solutions provider Gefen released several new ex-tend-it products plus cabling at NSCA, explicitly designed for use with high-definition television systems. New extenders send high-definition video signals long distances without visual degradation, and fiber optics-based cables connect sources to displays using DVI or HDMI connectors. Gefen's DVI-1000 HD ensures the integrity of high-definition video even hundreds of feet from the source. The system uses a sender and receiver methodology connected by fiber optics cables that carry uncompressed, unadulterated visuals for optimum imagery on the receiving end. It works with high-definition sources and displays that transmit through DVI. Extender Kits are available that combine the DVI-1000 HD with pre-cut cabling though custom cuts are available. A new HDTV Repeater is an economic alternative that extends high-definition video shorter distances with DVI copper cables available in lengths of 25-, 30-, 40-, and 50-feet. This single unit essentially ìrepeatsî the HDTV signal and sends it directly to the display. For high-definition systems using HDMI, Gefen provides HDMI cables designed for high performance, behind the scenes application. HDMI transmits digital audio plus video in the same cable and its dual capacity can streamline installation and cabling expenses. The cable's connectors measure less than one inch in diameter, making them ideal for high-end installations where aesthetics are important. Gefen's HDMI cables come with male connectors on both ends in various lengths. A supply of newly released HDTV Extreme cables that use DVI and fiber optics are available through Gefen as well.
