Sanyo has developed a custom 12-bit progressive scan integrated circuit including a super high speed, pipelined, parallel image processing chip. The resultant exclusive motion adaptive de-interlace image processing circuits work with the source data to create a harmony of HD images for superb image quality and contrast.Sanyo, with its PLV-HD10, is the only company to use ìintelligentî sharpness processing. This intelligent sharpness process first removes overshoot and ringing on the digitizer video signal, and then it looks for the data trends in the digitized video streams to see if it missed anything. The pipelined processor in the PLV-HD10 also removes noise in a similar ìsmartî two-pass process. High-definition images require better color too. For the purest red, brightest green and an amazing blue, Sanyo has improved the color separation filters to achieve sharper, clearer color differences and separations that can be seen on-screen with high color fidelity.The Sanyo PLV-HD10 lets the user achieve the requirements of the source material being shown by selecting gamma processing and color balance from one of the pre-determined color modes. Better yet, one can use Sanyoís exclusive ìReal Color Managerî which lets a user become an expert colorist by creating a custom gamma and color correction table and then run it through a computer via the included soft-ware. One then simply compares the on-screen image to a printed chart. The Sanyo PLV-HD10 achieves an outstanding 1000:1 contrast ratio. A micro lens is integrated in each individual pixel on the three LCD panels. This increases the light efficiency, resulting in significantly brighter images.Most of Sanyoís extensive lens collection can be used with the PLV-HD10, including quick change (easy mount) lenses and adapted older lenses. The projector has an Efficient Lamp Management System for balanced, fail-safe four lamp operation. Many new signal input options are available, including the first dual SDI input module in this class of projector. Optional detachable interface panels (including network control and administrations) can be used in varying combinations to meet the source input needs of most any situation.The Sanyo PLV-HD10 doesnít have MSRP set yet. Itís backed by a three-year parts and labor warranty as well as a 90-day original lamp warranty.
