Genelec Announces The Launch Of Two New Subwoofers

The announcement was made by Karen Richardson, National Sales Manager for Home Theater products, Genelec Inc., and further emphasizes Genelec's strong commitment to its high-end Home Theatre and Consumer Audio markets. Karen comments ìWith the HTS3B and 4B, Genelec once again raises the performance bar for all subwoofers. The new compact cube has powerful bass down to 18 Hz and provides true movie theatre excitement.îGenelec HTS3B and HTS4B are powerful low frequency subwoofers designed specifically for high quality digital 5.1-channel home theatre systems. The HTS3B is equipped with one active magnetically shielded 10-inch driver mounted on the front side of a compact cabinet and two 10-inch passive radiators, one on each side of the cabinet. The 200W amplifier unit is integrated in the subwoofer cabinet. The HTS4B shares the same design principles but is equipped with 12-inch drivers, and a 400W amplifier unit integrated in the subwoofer.Both HTS3B and HTS4B have XLR and RCA line level input connectors and adjustable input sensitivity providing easy connection to all types of decoders. Bass roll-off rate and crossover phase can be adjusted to suit different acoustic environments and subwoofer positioning. A ìLINK OUTî connector allows coupling of two or more subwoofers together when high sound pressure levels are required. The amplifier is equipped with an ìAUTOSTARTî function for automatic switching between ìSTANDBYî and ìONî modes. Connectors for remote power ìON/STANDBYî switches are also provided.
