TV One is introducing the SC-1250, a new high-performance, low-cost Video Scaler. It transforms Composite, S-Video, or Component Video (YCbCr) into standard computer signals at VGA, SVGA, XGA, or SXGA resolutions. Aimed at the presentation market, the SC-1250 is ideally suited for use with LCD Projectors, CRT Monitors, Projection TV Systems, Plasma or HDTV displays. The SC-1250 Scaler has 1.78:1 HDTV outputs operating in 480p, 576p, 720p or 1080i formats with the output resolution selectable between the most popular PC and HDTV standards. Adjustments are provided for Color Saturation, Hue, Brightness, Contrast, and Sharpness plus there is a HD-15 pass-thru for computer or HDTV signals.In addition to local control via front panel buttons, an Infrared remote control is provided plus an RS-232 interface exists that allows control by a wide variety of third party control systems or control is accomplished using a PC and the bundled custom Windows software. Standard Scaler features are augmented by an automatic 2-3 pull-down detector that de-interlaces 24 fps Film Based Video providing a sharp and clear output. A Vertical Temporal Filter removes jagged edge de-interlacing artifacts from motion sequences and the unit automatically detects a variety of NTSC, Pal or SECAM input standards.
