VSDA'S Home Entertainment 2004 To Be Held July 14-16, 2004 In Las Vegas, Nevada; Exhibit Floor To Be Added To Successful Suite Format

25-May-04

Following a very successful 2003 event in which exhibitor suites were sold out, VSDA's Home Entertainment 2004 has been scheduled for July 14-16, 2004. The video industry's annual confab will again be held at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. While exhibitors will occupy business-friendly suites, the show organizers are re-introducing an exhibit floor this year. The announcement was made today by Bo Andersen, President of the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) and Don Rosenberg, Group Video Director, and Liz Crawford, Group Show Director for Home Entertainment Events (HEE). ""Home Entertainment 2004 continues to offer more business and networking opportunities to exhibitors and attendees,"" said Andersen. ""The exhibitor suite format is ideal for deal-making and networking. The seminar program attracts some of the sharpest minds in the business. The re-introduction of an exhibit hall has been met with enthusiasm from new companies and non-programming suppliers who want to make their mark and enhance their presence."" ""The phenomenal success of the 2003 event was very inspiring,"" commented Crawford. ""We are pushing hard and using momentum to establish this show as the must-attend event of the year for the home entertainment industry. The theme of this year's show is 'Evolution and Transformation' and we feel the experience at Home Entertainment 2004 should reflect that."" ""Home Entertainment 2004 will offer the best of both worlds to the dedicated video retailer,"" added Rosenberg. ""Our goal is to take a step forward this year with a focus on technology, convergence, and all aspects of home entertainment packaged goods to retailers. The scope of the event will be expanded to include alternative ways that retailers can generate revenue such as games, music, and hardware alternatives.""
