First Impressions Rolls Out 40 Foot Theatre Transporter With New On-Board Digital Cinema

First Impressions Theme Theatres, a Miami, Florida-based specialty architecture, design, manufacturing, and installation firm who builds private in-home theatres recently upgraded its First Impressions Theatre Transporter (F.I.T.T.) with the newest A/V technologies. The 40 foot black and chrome ìbig rigî is a $400,000, 500hp stretched Kenworth tractor chassis with custom-built aluminum motor coach body. It has a built-in air conditioned and heated shop, leather-clad comfort and tele-communications lounge, AutoCAD drafting station, and a ìDusk-to-Dawnî fiber optic ceiling. The F.I.T.T. takes First Impressions foot theatre interior products, installation equipment, and crew anywhere projects may be in the Continental United States. The hybrid motor/truck coach also has a digital fireplace, marble bathroom, Galley, and temporary sleeping facilities. Jeffrey W. Smith, C.A.S., President of First Impressions said, ìF.I.T.T.ís best feature is its new 8 foot x 10 foot On-Board Digital Cinema with NECís latest HT1100 video projector, Videon line scaler, Vutecís multi-aspect dropdown screen, 5.1-channel surround sound and big subwoofer by Phase Tech, and total system and lighting control through Crestron. All gear was installed by CEDIA member firms.
