Projectiondesignís award winning Action! Model One Home Theatre Projector has received a full upgrade incorporating a range of innovative and performance enhancing features in time for exhibition at CEDIA EXPO 2004. A newly designed seven-segment color wheel, improved optical performance and freshly designed electronics enhance the viewing experience and escalate performance to an even higher level, confirming the model oneís position as a high performance projector. The unit will be on display at CEDIA EXPO in the Indiana Convention Center from September 8-12, 2004 in Extend Electronicsí booth #1105. The new version, named model one MK II, is shipping now. The new features augment the image quality of this already great projector by addressing and improving the most common concerns of discerning viewers. With increased contrast, color resolution and fidelity, image detail has a natural feel and film-like detail. The Action! model one MK II is based on Texas Instruments DLP technology, using the much coveted 1280 x 720 resolution Mustang HD2+ high definition DMD chip. With a contrast ratio in excess of 3000:1 available with any brightness calibration level, it is superior to any other projector on the market for medium to larger size screens. The custom optical design is prism-less in order to maintain high contrast even with mixed exposure scenes. The newly designed, proprietary seven-segment color wheel features a Neutral Density Green segment, increasing actual displayed color depth to 10-bit. Dramatically reducing dithering artifacts in dark grey levels, the upgraded modelís detail resolution is superior over any projector using a 6-segment wheel. The Model One uses the patented and award winning FLI2310 DCDi progressive scan engine by Faroudja, in order to optimize video quality and effectively eliminate video signal artifacts, as well as perform film mode processing. Projectiondesignís unique integrated design concept, using a single electronic board for short signal paths, ensures all components are tightly matched, and perform as part of a system that is geared for high video performance.Color options include Satin Gold, Maranello Blue Metallic and Pearl White. Custom colors are available upon request at an extra charge. The unobtrusive design enables the model one MK II to be mounted on the ceiling in any dedicated theatre room or living room without becoming visually overwhelming. Targeted primarily at a film and video loving audience, the low operating noise of only 28 dB ensures that the cinema-like experience is kept intact, and even the lowest audible details can be heard. The model one is delivered standard with a cable cover that conceals all cables when installed, and can be delivered with an optional wide angle lens to allow large images in small spaces. It features full digital and analogue connectivity, and can easily be integrated into home automation installations with its extensive control options, including RS232 control interface, 12V triggers and discrete remote control. For more information, please visit www.projectiondesign.com.
