Rives Audio Removes The Boom With PARC; PARC Plus Debuts At CEDIA EXPO 2004

31-Aug-04

Rives Audio, located in Booth #24 at CEDIA Expo 2004, has announced the debut of its PARC Plus upgrade for multi-channel systems. The original PARC, is a two channel, 3 band parametric equalizer designed to eliminate boomy bass caused by parallel walls in listening rooms and home theaters. The PARC Plus adds four more channels to the original two channel PARC. At $3,200 for each, the Rives PARC system is the most cost effective, no compromise way to tame room modes which cause bass anomalies in high end systems. The PARC Plus utilizes the controls and display of the original PARC for set up. In todayís world of full range, multi-channel audio playback systems, the need for additional correction has become evident to many high end enthusiasts who are determined to remove the room as a source of un-wanted aberrations in the low frequency response. Reached at his office in Jessup, MD, Rives Audio President Richard Bird said ìRives Audioís PARC system gives todayís installer a new tool to improve overall system performance with no compromise. It requires some education, but once you do it a few times, its easy and very rewarding to take a compromised system and bring it to itís full sonic potentialî. John Nieubuurt of Hi Tech Homes, a Rives Dealer, commented: ìAll too often we are called in to do a job where the room dimensions are fixed and we know there is going to be a significant bass problem. The PARC and PARC plus is the answer for us, and we spec it in up front. We know with Rives designs and solutions, such as the PARC, we will have great theater sound.î For more information, please visit www.rivesaudio.com.
