Nagra Unveils A New Family Of Power Amplifiers; Nagra Audio Announces New Pyramid Monoblock Amplifier, The PMA And Its Stereo Version, The PSA

Since the introduction of the first Nagra Hi-Fi equipment the PL-P, a vacuum tube phono preamplifier in 1997, Nagraís range has been greatly extended to include digital to analogue converters and power amplifiers. Nagraís products have gained a reputation of uncompromised quality, technical innovations and musicality, all of them rewarded by numerous distinctions. Today, Nagra Audio is proud to announce the launch of a new family of amplifiers based on a unique pyramidal design: the PMA -Pyramid Monoblock Amplifier and the PSA - Pyramid Stereo Amplifier. The PMA is a set of two solid-state monoblock amplifiers, each delivering 200 W (into 8 ohms). The PSA has the same shape and dimensions as the PMA and is fitted in a single pyramid chassis; it delivers two channel of 100 W (into 8 ohms). The revolutionary concept encompasses an aluminium pyramidal design that is as functional as it is distinctive. The electronics benefit from the experience of the MPA, Nagraís first solid-state power amplifier, especially for the Power Factor Corrector (PFC) that allows a smooth and stable powering. The innovative design of the pyramidsí Power Factor Corrector is the subject of a new Nagra patent. The PMA and the PSA will be available from retailers in early 2005.
