SpeakerCraft has announced two new surface mount speakers designed for use with the myriad of flat panel displays that are changing the face of home theater. The Slim Line Surface mount speakers feature ported extruded aluminum enclosures with solid wood baffles. Cutting edge engineering has allowed SpeakerCraft to create a surprising amount of bass response from long-excursion 3-inch drivers which reduce the overall footprint while maintaining incredible fidelity. The high frequencies are handled by a 1-inch aluminum anodized pivoting dome tweeter, a feature that allows the installer to focus directional high frequencies toward the optimum listening position. A unique mounting system simplifies wiring and pre-installation. The SLS One has two magnetically shielded long throw aluminum 3-inch woofers and a single 1-inch pivoting anodized aluminum dome tweeter. The SLS Two features four woofers and a single pivoting dome tweeter. The speakers are timbre matched and are an ideal compliment for all flat panel video displays. To augment low frequencies SpeakerCraft recommends the BassX D88, BassX10, or BassX12 subwoofers.
