SpeakerCraft has announced its new BassX HF12 digital powered subwoofer, featuring powerful home theater sound. The HF12 is designed for high bass response, easy system set-up and flexibility. According to Jeff Francisco, SpeakerCraftís Vice President of Product Development, ìOur dealers wanted a premium subwoofer for home theater. Our goal was to develop a subwoofer that offers incredibly accurate low frequency response and has enough output to easily fill larger rooms. Many consumers also want the impact of a high performance sub for home theater and still need it to maintain the subtleties for critical music listening. The HF 12 has the ability to do both. The BassX HF12 features inputs that allow it to be integrated into any home theater system. For ultra-performance, multiple subs can be linked together and controlled from a single remote.î The HF12 floor standing 12-inch subwoofer with cast basket and 2.5-inch voice coil boasts 500-watt amplification. Front-mounted controls include volume, on/off, low pass crossover, bass boost and phase. It includes a variable low pass crossover and high-pass crossover. A remote control for IR commands is included and can be used to control multiple subwoofers linked together. The BassX HF12 features a genuine black wood finish. It is scheduled for release fourth quarter 2004. Suggested retail is $999.Please visit SpeakerCraft on the web at www.speakercraft.com.
