CEA Premieres Consumer ëConnections Guideí For Audio And Video Products; Consumer Electronics Connections Made Simple Via Online Tool

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) today announced the launch of a new online tool designed to guide consumers step-by-step to interconnect various consumer electronics devices. Created by the CEA Accessories Division, the CEA Connections Guide is an interactive resource. With easy-to-understand descriptions and photographs of each connector, the Connections Guide shows the consumers where the connectors are located and how they can use them to optimize product performance. Consumers also are educated about the performance differences of each connector. ìThe CEA Connections Guide offers retailers and manufacturers customer service that reaches beyond the store doors,"" said CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro. ""Through an Internet connection and a few mouse clicks, consumers now can decipher which cord goes where -- something that is yet another way CEA is helping simplify consumer electronics for consumers."" The Connections Guide was designed using Flash software so that manufacturers and retailers could co-brand with their respective corporate logos and easily add to their website to their educate consumers.
