Onkyo Professional has announced that they will introduce three new components at the 2005 NSCA Systems Integration Expo in Orlando, Florida next month. The new models each feature advanced control and integration features, including bi-directional RS-232 control and IR input/output capability. Components debuting at the show are a 6-disc CD changer, a progressive-scan DVD player, and a full-featured 7.1-channel multizone A/V receiver with integrated A-Bus functionality.""These components were designed for professional installation from the ground up,"" said Onkyo Professional Product and Marketing Manager Don Milks. ""We spent a lot of time getting feedback from systems contractors and incorporating the features that they said matter the most to them. This show is the perfect opportunity to introduce these new products to the installation professionals that they were made for."" The Onkyo Professional TX-SR55 is a 7.1-channel A/V receiver that delivers the detailed and powerful control and integration options necessary for high-end commercial applications. For systems control and integration, it includes a bi-directional RS-232 port, IR inputs and outputs, and three programmable 12 volt trigger outputs. It features one of the most flexible suites of multizone options available in any professional A/V receiver, including a built-in A-Bus port, a fixed/variable Zone 2 output, and even Onkyo Pro's Powered Zone2 capability. It also includes a comprehensive set of surround sound processing, 7 x 85 watts of amplification, and HD capable component video switching including upconversion of composite and s-video sources. The company is also unveiling two source components specifically designed for professional systems installations, the DV-SP55 DVD player and the DX-C34 six-disc CD changer. Each model combines premium audio processing with advanced control and integration features such as RS-232 ports and IR in/out jacks for seamless integration with advanced control systems and touchscreens. They include a selectable 'family' of nine discrete IR code sets, allowing for individual control of multiple units in a single system.
