In response to growing consumer demand for high-definition, flat-screen televisions, Sharp introduced a new line of Sharp-branded 16:9 HD-capable Liquid Crystal Display televisions. The LD-26SH1U also uses Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel with ""black TFT"" low-reflection coating so it can be placed anywhere in the home, even near windows, doors or other ambient light sources, and still display a superior picture. This unit also includes Quick Shoot video technology, a feature propriety to Sharp's AQUOS televisions which optimizes response time on fast-moving images for an uninterrupted picture and razor-sharp edges on images.Both new Sharp-branded widescreen LCD televisions have a PC input that allows the set to double as a PC monitor without sacrificing picture quality, making it the center of the networked home.
