Gefen Demos High Definition Video Switchers

Fully HDMI compliant Switchers from Gefen take the mystery out of connecting more than one high definition video source (satellite TV, DVD player, TiVo, etc.) to a HDTV equipped with just one input. Three models are available, offering a solution depending on how many source inputs are required: a 2x2 for two HDMI inputs/two HDMI outputs; a 4x2 for four HDMI inputs/two HDMI outputs; and a 6x2 for six HDMI inputs/two HDMI outputs. Two outputs on each Switcher allow for the connection of two displays or a display and an audio/video receiver at the same time. All three units transmit high definition video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p and multichannel digital audio for each source in the same cable and connector. Sources are selected by an IR remote control that comes with the unit; a 5volt power supply feeds the system. Gefenís HDMI Switchers are HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection) compliant, capable of passing through content unaltered and undiminished in quality. Though equipped with HDMI, all three units will work with DVI-equipped displays and sources when combined with a DVI to HDMI Adapter, also available through Gefen.
