JBL Synthesis Showcases Digital EQ

JBL Synthesis RGO is showcasing its groundbreaking Model SDEC2500 Digital Equalizer at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26. The SDEC2500 is a state-of-the-art THXÆ Ultra-certified digital audio processor that maximizes the performance of a multichannel JBL Synthesis home entertainment system in any room by the application of ultra-precise 83-band equalization and leading-edge DSP technologies. The JBL Synthesis SDEC2500 Digital Equalizer provides far more precise compensation for room acoustics problems that can be corrected by equalization than any other consumer product. The SDEC2500 Digital Equalizer is programmed at the factory to fine-tune the performance of JBL Synthesis Two and JBL Synthesis Three systems. Each systemís performance is optimized by the custom equalization and transducer time alignment provided by the SDEC2500. The SDEC2500 meets or exceeds the stringent specifications required for components certified under the THX Ultra program, the highest level of certification given by THX. Dr. Floyd E. Toole, Vice President of Engineering, Harman International Industries, notes, ""A key part of the SDEC2500ís equalization process is that it has the ëintelligenceí to focus on problems that are fixable, and ignore problems that are fixable, and ignore problems that can be corrected by these means. In this way, JBL Synthesis ensures the delivery of the highest possible quality to its listeners, in whatever room or room arrangement they have chosen.""
