Faroudja Laboratories is introducing to the custom installation community its new digital video processor/scalers at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26. The models incorporate several new refinements designed to optimize the performance of CRT projectors as well as the growing variety of other projector technologies, including DLP, LCD and Plasma. These projectors are primarily designed for computer graphics and have poor video processing capabilities. Faroudjaís processor/scalers can produce dramatic improvements when video sources are used. The new processors include the DVP3000 Digital Video Processor/Scaler. This unit comes packed with capabilities and features designed to take image processing capabilities to a new level. The DVP3000 offers scan rate scaling to computer rates of VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA, plus DTV/HDTV video rates of 720p, 1080i, 960p (quadrupling) and 1080p.
