Genelec Targets The High-End

Genelec, Inc., U.S. distributor of Genelex active home theatre systems, is introducing at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26, four new models that establish a dedicated line of high-end consumer audio products. The new models include the HT205, HT206, HT208 twoñway biñamplified active monitors, and HTS2 active subwoofer.The HT205 compact, active, two-way, magnetically shielded speaker is designed to be used where space is at a premium. It is a completely selfñpowered speaker with an internal electronic crossover, room response equalizers and two 40ñwatt amplifiers.The HT206 is a compact, magnetically shielded, twoñway, active, nearñfield monitor with a 6.5ñinch woofer and 3/4ñinch metal dame tweeter loaded with Genelecís DCW.The HT208 is a twoñway, active, nearñfield monitor, magnetically shielded, that employs an eightñinch woofer and oneñinch metal dome tweeter loaded with Genelecís Directivity Control Waveguide Technology. The HT208 includes an integrated electronic crossover, two 120ñwatt amplifiers, room response equalizers and RCA, as well as balanced XLR inputs.The HTS2 active subwoofer rounds out the new Genelec HT range of home theater products.
