Digital audio inputs include tow Toslink optical and two coaxial digital inputs. The R-626 has 5 AV inputs, two A/V outputs, four audio inputs and two audio outputs. To add amplification later, the R-626 maintains preamp outputs for all 6 channels (LF, C RF, LS, RS, Sub). A six channel external input is included to allow for future expansion. The suggested retail price of the R-626 is $599.95 and will be available in February.Ideal for those who have Dolby Digital processing built-in to their DVD player, the 5.1 Ready Model R-326 uses the MedianiX 24-bit digital processor chip for Dolby ProLogic decoding and for VMAxô Virtual surround sound processing. The R-326 is on of the first ProLogic receivers to take full advantage of MedianiX MxD decorrelation technology and technically, reproduces Dolby ProLogic as either a 5.0 or 5.1 system as opposed to the typical 4.0 channel mode available from almost all other ProLogic systems.
