Sony Planning Higher Data Rates For SACD Professional Applications?

With the recent announcement by Burr-Brown of the Direct Stream Digital DSD 1700 DAC part which operates on a system clock of 11.2896MHz. or exactly 4 times the ""standard"" SACD rate (64x44.1), there is the possibility that Sony plans higher data rates for professional applications of SACD such as 128x or 256x. In fact, Sony has announced that at least a 128x professional format is being developed.
