Checkpoint Showcases Sound Alignment System

Checkpoint Laser Tools presented at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26, a complete and comprehensive approach of specialized laser alignment tools, accessories, procedures and documentation to allow professional installers to ""certifiably"" align and directional sound systems with pinpoint accuracy. Among these is the Sound Alignment System. Endorsed by THXÆ and theatre installers in both professional and home theater arenas, the SA-S System enables exact laser directional placement of any monitor, satellite or home theatre sound system relative to the exact seating of listening station with consistency and accuracy. ""This system, which has been long overdue, allows speaker and audio manufacturers to encourage and enforce their stringent alignment specifications or recommended layout criteria to enhance and optimize the true qualities of their componentís performance,"" says Jim Webb, President of Checkpoint. The tools allow the user to quickly move from speaker to speaker, locking in the directional sound to an exact listening location. Projector/screen set ups and lighting placement become easier and more exact. Precise component placement, degree offset and directional criteria can be achieved quickly and certifiably because the SA ñ S protocol includes angle layout quides, layout plot sheets, and complete technicians course for certification.
