Linn Sets Solo Power Amp Unveiling
Linn Products Limited was at the CEDIA Expo, September 24-26, with its new Linn Klimax 500 solo power amplifier. The Klimax is a highñperformance, singleñspeaker power amplifier designed for use in a multiñamplifier as well as multichannel audio and audio/visual information and entertainment systems. Linn has invested many years of development work in the design of the Klimax, which, at a fraction of the volume and weight of other similar output power amplifiers, is the most powerful highñquality amplifier of its size in the world. The compact case housing the Klimax protects screens and stabilizes the internal electronics and forms a heat exchanger to dissipate the power from the amplifier circuitry. Inside are two electrically and mechanically isolated circuit boards: one, a new highñvoltage Linn ""Brilliant"" Switch Mode Power Supply; the other, the unique audio curcuitry.
