InterVideo Receives Dolby Multichannel Certification

InterVideo, Inc. (""IVI"") has announced that its industry-leading software-only PC DVD decoder, WinDVD, has received Dolby Laboratories' certification for 4 and 6 channel audio support. Prior to this industry first, software decoder's had been certified for 2-channel DolbyÆ Digital output only. A number of audio chipmakers, including Creative Labs, Aureal, Yamaha, ESS, C-Media and Fortemedia, are delivering audio chips that support multichannel audio output.
