DTS Introduces New 5.1 Studio Decoder Professional Decoder Enables Real-Tim Monitoring
Digital Theater Systems (DTS) today announced the availability of the new CAD-4 Studio Decoder, a reference decoder for DVD-Video titles and multi-channel Music CDs. Designed to play back DTS 5.1 channel audio in mastering facilities and recording studios, the DTS CAD-4 is based on a 24-bit high-resolution DSP that ensures accurate monitoring. The optimum companion to the DTS CAE-4 Mastering Encoder, the CAD-4 allows real-time playback of all DTS-encoded material via a single AES/EBU input, and 6 balanced digital outputs in the form of three AES/EBU pairs. This CAD-4 is now available to mastering engineers and recording studios all over the world that choose to offer the highest-quality 5.1 audio services.
