Harman Launches USB Subwoofer Exclusively For New iMacs
Harman Multimedia, a division of Harman International (NYSE:HAR), today announced its iSubô, a USB subwoofer designed exclusively for Apple's new family of iMacÆ computers. The iSub is a self-powered, six-inch subwoofer with a 20-watt amplifier housed in a tuned acoustic, translucent enclosure. When the iSub is plugged into the USB port of an iMac, the iMac detects the presence of the subwoofer and automatically begins sending the lowest frequency audio signals to the subwoofer while optimizing the equalization of its built-in speakers. Bearing the legendary Harman Kardon brand name, the iSub US subwoofer features a translucent design created by Apple's world-class design team.
