McIntosh Introduces New A/V Control Center, Processor And Amplifiers

McIntosh has introduced its latest A/V Control Center. TheMX132 has all the timeless styling that you expect from McIntosh. The MX132 features three Motorola 24-bit processors, DolbyÆ Digital, DTSÆ Digital Surround, THXÆ, and Dolby ProLogicÆ decoding circuits built-in, a 50 preset tuner, 2 independent remote Controlled A/V zones, composite and ""S"" Video inputs and outputs, a composite video to ""S"" Video converter, 11 Audio/Video inputs, 6 digital inputs, 4 Audio/Video tape outputs and a 6 channel input for an external decoder. Inputs are assignable to cut down on consumer confusion. By adding a McIntosh CR12 for four more audio/video zones are avaliable. McIntoshís latest surround decoder is now shipping. The MSD4 is the latest in a long line of McIntosh processors. It is a Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround decoder with three Motorola 24-bit processors, six 1-bit D/A converters with 24-bit resolution and one stereo analog input with two 24-bit A/D converters. Intelligent input level control for optimum use of 24-bit resolution, RF input for Dolby Digital LaserDisc players and it can be used as a stand alone pre-amp. The MC162 is a new amplifier that is accustomed to performing double duty as a stereo amplifier or as a part of a home theatre or multi-zone system. This amplifier operates as a 2 channel, 160 watt per channel or, 500 watts monaural. Balanced inputs, remote power control and Power Guard are included along with classic illuminated glass panel and dual illuminated power meters. The new MC122 is an amplifier for stereo or ""racking"" of multiple units for multi-zone approach. Two channel 120 watts per channel with power guard and sentry monitor illuminated McIntosh glass panel with Power Guard indicators and remote power control.
