New High-Performance Projector Offers Smaller Spot Size For Higher Corner-to-Corner Picture Resolution Zenith Electronics Corporation has raised the bar for video projector performance, demonstrating a new high-end product concept, the PRO1200X, at CEDIA í99, September 24-26. Designed to project crystal-clear video images from 4.6 to 20 feet in diameter, this projector is ideally suited for a wide range of home theater applications as well as data display. Featuring 8-inch CRTs and high-definition, liquid coupled, color-corrected HD215 lenses, the PRO1200X provides images with a resolution up to 1280x1024 pixels/70 Hz (data) and 1920x1080i (HDTV). ""Our customers have been asking for a step-up model above Zenithís popular PRO900X projector, and we believe, the PRO1200X is the answer to the quest for the ultimate in video performance,"" said Bill Sims, President, Zenith Sales Company. Also notable is the PRO1200Xís horizontal auto-lock scan frequency range of 15 to 75 kHz, with a vertical scan frequency of 37 to 200 Hz auto-lock. By adding a quad line, consumers can quadruple the video lines, resulting in a smoother, film-like image. The ProVergeô automatic convergence system uses a built-in camera to achieve on-screen convergence in less than 2.5 minutes, significantly less time than with a conventional manual convergence process.
