Samsung Unveils The First 15-inch Flat-Panel Monitor With Advanced Image Scaling, PIP And Video Input For DVD, VCR Or Camcorder Viewing

Samsung, the world's number one manufacturer of CRT and TFT displays, is pushing the technology envelope again with the introduction of two stunning new 15-inch additions to its award-winning SyncMaster line of flat-panel monitors. The multimedia SyncMaster 570pPlusTFT ($1,254) is the first 15-inch TFT to offer high-end graphics professionals advanced image downscaling capabilities, Picture-in-Picture (PIP) video viewing, and a NTSC/s-video input for direct hook up to DVD players, VCRs and camcorders. The sleek new 15-inch SyncMaster 570sTFT ($1,039) is an affordable, space-saving alternative for corporate, financial, medical or SOHO users who are looking to replace their bulky CRT monitors. Samsung's new TFTs come with a swivel base and are Pivot Enabled for instant switching between portrait and landscape viewing. With Pivot, users have full-page viewing capabilities of 8-1/2 x 11 or A4 documents without having to scroll. Both also meet the VESA wall-mounting standards for mounting the screen on a space-saving swing arm or cart and have a USB Hub option.
