Society Of Motion Picture And Television Art Directors Sets February 26 For Fourth Annual Awards
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Art Directors (SMPTAD) will present its Fourth Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards at a black-tie ceremony on Saturday, February 26, from the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, it was announced today by Jack De Govia, SMPTAD president. Nomination ballots will be mailed to 900 SMPTAD members on January 3 with January 28 the deadline to return. Nominations in four categories (one for theatrical films and three for television) will be announced February 1. In addition, the organization will select recipients of two annual honorary awards: Lifetime Achievement and Contribution to Cinematic Imagery. Michael Baugh chairs SMPTAD's Awards Committee.
