Da-Lite Purchases Trooper Systems From Barco
Da-Lite Screen Company, the worldís largest projection screen manufacturer, has purchased Visual Structures, Inc. from Barco, Inc. Visual Structures, located in Los Alamitos, California, manufacturers rear projection systems which consist of large screen displays for command and control centers, simulators, broadcast centers as well as for commercial applications. The company distributes its products under the Trooper name through systems integrators. Visual Structures will be maintained as a stand-alone company and will retain its identity separate from Da-Lite. Robert Grawet has been named President and CEO of the company. John Higgins, of VSI, has been named Vice President of Sales. Ed Warner, also of VSI, has been named Vice President of Manufacturing. In an announcement made at Da-Liteís headquarters in Indiana, Senior Vice President, Judy Loughran indicated that, ""This is a very positive move for both Da-Lite and Visual Structures and will enable us to further enhance our leadership position in the rear projection screen market.""
