EchoStar Communications Corporation Nets 141,000 Customers In October 1999

EchoStar Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: DISH, DISHP) announced today it added approximately 141,000 net new DISH Networkô customers in October 1999, the largest monthly gain in DISH Network history and a 41 percent increase over the number of net new customers added in October 1998. The additions bring DISH Network's total customer base to approximately 3,113,000.This marks the thirteenth consecutive month DISH Network has achieved customer growth of over 100,000 net subscribers and represents an increase of 75 percent over the first ten months of 1998.
