CrestronHome Makes CEDIA Debut

Shown at the CEDIA Expo for the first time, the CrestonHome line of components represents the latest in home control technologies developed by Crestron Electronics, Inc. With CrestronHome and its Internet-accessible control and monitoring function, home theatres gain benefits of one-touch simplicity, AV components can be integrated with sophisticated capabilities, and multiple-source audio can be distributed to any number of rooms. HVAC, lighting, and security functions can be managed as well, and with Crestronís Room Intelligenceô sensors (which report on the room-to-room status of systems throughout a residence), comprehensive levels of control can be created which were thought impossible not long ago. Utilizing Crestronís e-controlô technology, the powers inherent within any Crestron Home network can be quickly and easily accessed via stylish, touch-sensitive wall panels or wireless tabletop enclosures. From either of these interfaces, users can create a virtually limitless number of preset scenes and automated functions, all of which-thanks to a proprietary IP interface-can be remotely monitored, controlled, and upgraded from PC using Netscape Navigator or Microsoftís Internet Explorer. As a result, any device such as a television, VCR, or DVD player gains the advantage of becoming a true Internet appliance. Because of the Universal nature of Crestron Homeís IP interface and its capability of linking over 3 billion devices, systems can be integrated with off-the-shelf components, and expanded with virtually anything made now and well into the future for use with PC-based networks.

Crestron Home systems are available from authorized Crestron dealers around the globe. For more information, phone 800 237 2041, email creshome@crestron.com, or stop in on the Web at www.crestron.com.
