Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company announces the roll-out of its first Divx-compatible DVD player, model DVD-X410. The new Panasonic DVD-X410 DVD player is fully compatible with all Divx functions and options. The DVD-X410 also provides access to a wide range of Divx customer service options available through the on-screen menu. These include access to the user's personal mailbox for on-screen viewing of everything from billing information to the latest specials, such as discounts on converting discs to unlimited play or on additional viewing periods. The new Panasonic DVD player also features many high-end features and enhancements. A 10-bit video D/A converter, Five-Speed Smooth Motion Scan & Slow, and Auto Switching Field/Frame Still. A 96 kHz/24-bit D/A converter and built-in Virtual Surround Sound are featured in the player. The DVD-X410 also includes an output jack for connection to optional DolbyÆ Digital & DTSÆ 5.1 channel surround sound decoders. The Panasonic DVD-X410 DVD player is currently available at a suggested retail price of $549.00.
