With a new MSRP of only $129.00, the SL-9000 has added a JOIN mode, a feature that allows the user to reposition any preprogrammed or learned function from the 10 audio input select buttons at the bottom of the remote onto any of the eight Device (component) buttons at the top of the remote control. Additionally, the Device buttons now have the ability to emit up to three commands (preprogrammed, JOIN and learned respectively) with each press of a button. Other revisions include the option of selectively activating or deactivating the Automatic Audio mode, a function which gives the user full and immediate access to the receiver's audio volume and surround controls in seven different device modes. Finally, for added convenience, the preprogrammed audio input selects have been moved to the bottom of the remote.
