Bull Market For Bonds On DVD

The world of James Bond videos is not enough to prevent MGM Home Entertainment from continuing to sell millions more. Despite having already sold nearly 20 million copies of James Bond movies worldwide on videocassette and LaserDisc in umpteen different video packages during the last 15 years or so, MGM has sold nearly 3 million more copies of seven library titles this fall. About 1.3 million of those were special editions of the movies on DVD while 1.5 million are newly packaged versions of the same seven movies on VHS. But it's the DVD versions that have MGM executives excited, since profit margins on the titles priced at $34.98 are four times that of the videocassettes priced at $14.98.
