EchoStar Communications Corporation Nets 137,000 Customers In November 1999

EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH, DISHP) announced today that it added approximately 137,000 net new DISH Network(TM) customers in November 1999, a record for that month and a 36 percent increase over the number of net new customers added in November 1998. The additions bring DISH Network's total customer base to approximately 3,250,000.This marks the fourteenth consecutive month that DISH Network has achieved customer growth of over 100,000 net subscribers. The addition of 1,310,000 customers in 1999 represents an increase of 70 percent over the first 11 months of 1998.
