The fully shielded CVT line features two full-range loudspeaker models: the CVT-12 and CVT-10. The CVT-12 is a slim, elegant tower with a side-mounted 12-inch woofer, minimizing dedicated floor-space requirements. Dual, stacked seven-inch midwoofers with butyl rubber surrounds and a one-inch silk dome tweeter are housed in their own internal sub-enclosure, isolating them from potential woofer modulation interference and improving sound quality and acoustic detail. The CVT-1O offers the design advantages of the CVT-12 and features a 10-inch side-mounted woofer, a seven-inch midwoofer with a butyl rubber surround and a silk dome tweeter mounted in a dedicated sub-enclosure. Both tower models incorporate a bass-reflex cabinet with a proprietary front radius design to reduce diffraction. The enclosures' rear venting enhances bass response and reduces IM distortion. Both tower loudspeaker models feature bi-wire or passive bi-amp capability and gold-plated, five-way binding posts. The acoustically matched, mirror-imaged (left and right cabinet orientation) CVT-12, at $1,399.00 per pair, and the CVT-1O, at $999.00 per pair, are offered with reversible, dual purpose floor spikes. Cerwin-Vega offers two new powered subwoofers in the CVT line. The CVT-300S features a 15-inch side-firing woofer and a 300-watt RMS high-current amplifier. The CVT-200S subwoofer incorporates a side-mounted 12-inch driver powered by a dedicated high-current 200-watt amplifier. Both subwoofers are housed in slim, video-shielded, ported enclosures, making unobtrusive placement a choice rather than a chore. The CVT-300S has a suggested retail price of $799.00. The CVT-200S is $599.00. The CVT line is complemented by the CVT-7LCR, a versatile, two-way, full-range audio-video loudspeaker, which is fully shielded for use directly adjacent to a video monitor. The CVT-7LCR includes Cerwin-Vega's one-inch silk dome tweeter with PTC thermal protection. The tweeter and the loudspeaker's dual seven-inch midwoofers are in a D'Appolito array. Voice-matched to the CVT towers, the CVT-7LCR makes an ideal center-channel speaker. In addition, says the company, wide bandwidth and outstanding dynamic range make the Cerwin-Vega CVT-7LCR an excellent choice as a main surround speaker in any quality home theatre installation.
