ROXY.com's TV Ad Honored By Adweek Magazine As ""Best Spot""

Industry Publication Calls ROXY's ""Niedermeyer"" Commercial One Of November's Best

ROXY.com, one of the fastest-growing online consumer electronics retailers, is proud to announce that one of the commercials in its recent national television advertising campaign has been honored by Adweek Magazine as one of the best spots for the month of November. Kicking off its record-setting holiday sales season, ROXY.com launched two TV spots last month. Both featured a character named ""Niedermeyer,"" who comes to the rescue when electronic equipment at his school fails to work properly. Donna Driscoll, Chief Marketing Officer, ROXY.com, said, ""When we first saw Niedermeyer, we knew there was something special about him. He is an expert in consumer electronics, and everybody knows it. He is courteous and obviously eager to please. Niedermeyer embodies what ROXY.com brings to the Internet marketplace for consumer electronics - a team that provides consumers with educated assistance better than anyone else around."" Adweek Magazine, a leading advertising industry publication, was particularly fond of ""Repro 101."" In that ROXY spot, Niedermeyer is called upon when the TV set in the Sex Education class malfunctions, displaying nothing but static, just as the students in the class are becoming engrossed in the material. Niedermeyer fixes the TV, but as he steps back to admire his work, he is distracted by the video, thereby blocking the other students' view. The humorous 30-second spot reinforces ROXY.comxs philosophy of selling consumer electronics on the Web - ""Electronics Without The Static."" ""Traditionally, consumer electronics has been a difficult category for retailers to sell. The products often have to be explained to consumers who may be encountering a new technology for the very first time,"" Driscoll added. ""At ROXY.com, we pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge of products as diverse and confusing as cell phones, satellite TV systems and DVD players. Our ability to help consumers cut through the clutter of product hype is reflected in Niedermeyerxs pride in his ability to help his fellow students."" ""Repro 101"" was produced by Gotham Incorporated in New York. It is one of two ROXY.com spots currently airing on major cable networks, including CNN, A&E, ESPN and others. Niedermeyer also is featured in ROXYxs national print and radio advertising. Marty Smith, Vice Chairman, Gotham Inc., said, ""The strong partnership between Gotham Inc. and ROXY helped to deliver what we always like to see in a successful ad campaign: breakthrough creative delivering great sales results. We had to get great work out the door ready for the holiday selling season in a very short time frame. Gotham and ROXY, together, made it happen.""
